Only “Wanted” posse members are subject to the following rules.

A wanted posse member can be captured by being turned over to the law (for bounty payment or otherwise) or by being taken out of action by a lawman posse as above.

Any captured posse member awaiting trial will be held in the relevant jail. The date of their trial will be announced in the Aftermath newspaper – usually at the end of the following week’s game session as long as their posse is active. The posse member will then stand trial in the courthouse and consult the table in the rulebook on page 87 using the following (cumulative) modifiers:

Savvy skill +1
Lawyer representation +1
Accused of murder -2
Accused of other serious crime -1
Accused of multiple crimes -1

Fame may not be used to adjust this roll.

Any posse member sentenced to hang will be returned to the town jail and await their appointment (the following game session in which their posse is active).
