Sheriff James Royal (”Lucky” to both friends and enemies) is sheriff of Aftermath City.
If he didn’t have enough to worry about with outlaws showing their faces - and weapons - too often for everyone’s liking and the soldiers of the 7th Cavalry over-indulging in R&R on a regular basis he has the added complication of a branch of the Pinkerton’s Detective Agency and a local vigilante group (the Womens’ Guild).

Fortunately he’s not alone in facing these threats and can call on deputies Dutch Morgan and Bill Thompson to support him as well as temporary sworn-in vigilantes Nat Kinney, Jefferson Smith, Frank Reid and Tom Sherman - and any local townsfolk who’re prepared to pick up their arms in defence of truth, justice and the American Way.
